CONCLUSION:
NICaS can measure the cardiac output and stroke volume in sepsis patients as accurate as ultrasonic Cardiogram, and the exclusive GGI figure NICaS provides has a positive correlation with EF of Ultrasonic Cardiogram but without significance, which may be attributed to the fact that the GGI is a figure that only reflect the intrinsic myocardial contractility of left ventricle whereas the preload and afterload of the left ventricle could also influence the cardiac output.
